How does payment work, and can I use insurance?

You’ll book through Headway, where insurance verification and payment details are handled. Since coverage and out-of-pocket costs can vary, the best way to confirm your options is to review them in Headway before you schedule. If you’re not sure what applies to you, checking ahead of time can help you feel more confident about booking.

What if I have Medicaid or Medicare and I want to be seen as self-pay instead?

I'm not currently enrolled with Medicare or Medicaid, so I'm unable to see patients with Medicare or Medicaid coverage, including on a self-pay basis.

How do telehealth appointments work at Windrise Psychiatry and Wellness?

Your visit takes place by secure video, so you can meet with me from a private, comfortable space in Arizona or Montana. I’ll review your concerns, history, and symptoms, and together we’ll talk through a plan that fits your needs.

Do you see teens, or only adults?

I see adults and teens ages 16 and older. This includes college-aged adults. If you’re booking for a teen, I’m happy to help create a calm, respectful space where they can be heard and supported.

Do I need to have past records or a prior diagnosis before my first appointment?

Accepted Answer

No, you do not need to have a prior diagnosis to schedule. If you have past treatment records, medication lists, or notes from a previous provider, those can be helpful, but we can still start with a new evaluation and go from there.

What states do you see patients in?

I currently provide telehealth psychiatric care for patients located in Arizona and Montana. Because psychiatric care is state-based, I can only see you if you are physically in one of those states at the time of your appointment.

Can you prescribe medication during a telehealth visit?

Yes, if medication is appropriate for your care, I can prescribe and manage psychiatric medications through telehealth. I’ll talk with you about options, benefits, and possible side effects so we can make a thoughtful plan together.
